 Under You Skin

Rose McClelland

5* review.

Where is Hannah?

When Kyle’s wife Hannah goes missing, the whole town is out in force to try to find her. One person knows where she is. One person is keeping a secret.

Detective Inspector Simon Peters and Detective Kerry Lawlor have been brought in to investigate the case, but Hannah has left no traces and Kyle has no clues.

Local Belfast resident Julia Matthews joins the #FindHannah campaign and becomes friendly with Kyle, sympathising with his tragedy. As Julia becomes more involved in the case than she bargained for, she begins to uncover more secrets than the Police ever could.

Julia was only trying to help, but has she become drawn into a web of mystery that she can’t escape?

Discover a gripping thriller that has you on the edge of your seat!

This is a thrilling read that really will keep you gripped to the edge of your seat. It is very cleverly written as Rose has been able to use the different points of view from the characters. This is done effortlessly, without it getting confusing and giving the reader a full picture. It shows an honest, detailed light on domestic abuse and coercive control, which Rose covers so delicately but honestly which was thought provoking as this does happen to many people daily. Sometimes you just come across a story that is telling more than a story, it really bought it home that Hannah could be someone you work with or live next door to and highlights the important fact that it is not always as easy or as simple as "just leave."

It is an emotional gripping read that you won't be able to put down. As I reading this all I couldn't help but feel as if I was watching a TV drama.
